Lucas Daniel Barbosa, born on February 13.1992, in Boa Vista, Roraima, Brazil, wasintroduced to sports early by his parents. Heswimming, basketball, volleyball, and martialarts like taekwondo, judo, and Thai boxing. At15, during a holiday at his godfather’s house,he began his jiu-jitsu journey under DiegoLopes.
Barbosa trained with several coaches.earning his blue belt from Cristiano Cariocaand developing as a competitor under AndreFabiano. As a purple belt, he moved to Rio deJaneiro to train with Marcio Rodrigues, fullydedicating himself to the sport.
Earning his brown belt from Fabiano andRodrigues, Barbosa’s grappling careerflourished. In 2014, he gained nationalrecognition through “THE TEAM,” a webseries by Copa Podio. After achievingsignificant titles as a brown belt, he receivedhis black belt from Fabiano on July 7, 2015.Later that year, he moved to California to joinAtos Jiu-Jitsu and compete in major lBJJFtournaments.
